At the same time, local promoters Ross Wilson and Tim Lucy (who ran the successful Karanga nights) had heard of Jon’s turntable abilities and started booking him for regular appearances at Babylon, where they held their Karanga parties every Saturday. Here Jon was able to truly express himself through House music. Bath’s filthiest club, The Swamp, had been transformed into Po Na Na and Jon quickly picked up more regular gigs. The snowball was rolling and rolling…

In 1999 Jon travelled to Berlin after a German club promoter had heard Jon play at Karanga. Jon was booked to play at a one-off techno event. This slightly concerned him as he never considered himself as a techno DJ, but he politely got on the plane with Dan and together they were taken to a warehouse in the middle of a forest just outside of Berlin.Ironically Jon was the
headline act with local hero Azzido Da Bass also on the bill.Jon casually played some slamming UK hard house & trance and rocked the party. Azzido replied with a set of blistering nose-bleed techno.

In 2001 Jon returned to The Venue to become the Friday resident at Horny. Every Friday night 800 students packed the biggest dance floor in Bath as Jon provided the best party music – House, urban and funk/disco classics. His record collection had grown to over 30,000 12”s so selecting the best party tracks was never a problem. At the same time an exclusive members bar/club was being developed with strong links to Bath Rugby. The Blue Rooms was THE place to be seen, so a DJ with experience and knowledge was required.
