BIOGRAPHY

His old friend Sean (from Full House) highly recommended Jon and within weeks Jon had secured his Saturday night residency. Week in, week out, Jon relentlessly played at The Blue Rooms and University, with the latter transforming The Venue into Elements in 2004 (Horny became Funky Guppy, a pretty cool fish by all accounts.) The University’s Parade Bar swiftly got in on the action too with Jon providing bar grooves on Wednesdays…

2005 saw Jon landing weekly bar gigs at RSVP on Thursdays and the Slug & Lettuce on Saturdays, which fitted in perfectly with the Blue Rooms. At the Slug & Lettuce Jon was able to programme 100% soulful house music with a slant towards Latino. Record labels like Soulfuric and Defected practically defined his marathon sets.

Through his connections with the independent clothes retailer John Anthony, Jon had an opportunity to play in Bournemouth at the Klute lounge. His first set was enough to ensure regular monthly visits on Fridays and Saturdays. The Bournemouth clubbing scene was perfect for Jon with his soulful House music being accepted with great appreciation by the sunkissed locals.
